Yes! On average, our referral commissions are 167% more than the standard 25% referral that you’re used to. Once the property is sold and closed, you get paid—based on the total commission, not just the listing side.

The typical Cates marketing and auction campaign lasts approximately 6 weeks. The first 5 weeks consist of the promotional and exposure period. Bidding commences in the final week. After the close of the auction, the buyer typically has 30 days to close on the property.

Once you’ve referred your client, we handle the rest. You can be as hands-off as you want to be, after the auction process begins. Agents have access to the Cates Auction App, where you can check in on mobile, computer, and/or tablet devices to monitor bids, receive weekly reports, and view property status.

Generally speaking, motivated sellers with a short timeline are the best candidates for auction. Clients that want to sell their property as-is, don’t have a lot of time to invest in the process, or have properties that just won’t move on the market are also great candidates for auction.
